How long does a live painting take?
Live painting takes approximately 3-4 hours! This does not include set up and take down :)
How much does it cost for you to create a piece at a wedding?
Live paintings at weddings are such a wonderful and creative way to capture the memories of your special day. Prices for live paintings begin at $2450. We offer 4 wedding packages!
How do I reserve the date of my live painting?
We will chat over email to see if your date is available via info@cafcreations.com. If you would like to book with me, I require a $500 deposit upfront to reserve your date, then we will schedule a meeting to discuss the details of your special day!
How did you get into live painting?
I became a huge fan of painting in front of an audience after I traveled on a cruise ship as an Artist In Residence. During my time on the cruise, I would create impressionistic landscape paintings based on the European cities we traveled to. I would paint these “destination paintings” LIVE along side musicians, acrobats and dancers on the ship as a form of visual entertainment for the guests. When I came home from my travels, I realized that I finally found my niche as a live painter. I decided to work in the wedding business because of the enthusiastic and loving environment that weddings have :)
Commissions
Do you create commissions based on photographs?
Yes, I love recreating work based on a photograph. If you have a wedding photo or floral arrangement that you’d like me to recreate, send it my way and I would love to paint it! Learn more about commissions here.
What is the turn around time for a commissioned work of art?
A commissioned work of art can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 4 months depending on the detail of the commissioned work. Learn more about how the commission process works.
Shipping
Do you have a local pickup option?
Yes, I do! If you are in the Rochester, NY area and would like to make a purchase without paying for shipping, please email me at info@cafcreations.com for a free shipping promo code. We will schedule a pickup date for your work of art.
Where do you ship to?
I can ship anywhere in the world! If my website is not allowing you to purchase from me because of your location— send me a private message and we’ll work it out!
How will you ship my artwork?
The safest and most cost effective way to ship artwork is to carefully roll the artwork and ship it in a mailing tube! I do this with all of my prints so that it reduces the risk of the artwork getting damaged if I were to ship it flat. Once you receive the artwork, I suggest safely unrolling the artwork and laying it flat under a stack of books before framing! The artwork will remain flat after you complete this step. *There are some instances where I will ship the artwork in a box, however, tubes are most common for prints and large scale original works!*
